<description><![CDATA[<p>Summary:<br/>Under the direction of a Registered Nurse/and or LPN, assists with patients&iquest; activities of daily living and plan of care.  Communicates with and supports healthcare team, patients and/or patient&iquest;s family or significant other(s).  Maintains and demonstrates high standards of professional ethics. <br/><br/><br/>Position Responsibilities:<br/>Supports the activities of daily living to include bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, feeding, toileting/hygiene, and assisting with mobility and transport. Demonstrates standard precautions including the care of patients in isolation and safe patient practice.<br/><br/>Performs technical duties as directed by RN/LPN, such as phlebotomy, vital signs, point of care testing, EKGs, bladder scanning, foley catheter care specific to population served and documents appropriately.<br/><br/>Identifies and communicates changes in patient&iquest;s status to RN/LPN and responds appropriately.  Demonstrates standard precautions including the care of patients in isolation and safe patient practice.<br/><br/>Reinforces education of patient and family/responsible party regarding individual care needs and safety issues.<br/><br/>Participates in Virtua patient satisfaction initiatives and goals. Address issues as able, or notify the appropriate Plant Engineering staff for support. Performs all Occupational Health Services, (Ambulatory to include Immediate Care.)<br/><br/><br/>Position Responsibilities:<br/>Performs various clinical/technical tasks, such as: collection of urine (UDS,DOT UDS), breath alcohol testing, respiratory fit testing, phlebotomy, EKG, Vision, vital signs, etc. <br/>(Ambulatory to include out patient lab draws, crutch walking, splinting , basic first aide, etc.) (Occupational Health provides after hours substance abuse testing.)<br/><br/>Assists with daily patient care, assists physician/provider, prepares patient for testing/exam, responsible for efficient patient flow<br/>(Ambulatory discharges patients when appropriate.)<br/><br/>Maintains medical record and real time data entry. Fax appropriate paperwork to companies/clients in accordance with the HIPPA law.<br/><br/>Oversees inventory and stocking of supplies, equipment with QA checks, and<br/>Linen.<br/><br/><br/>Position Qualifications Required<br/>Experience Required:<br/>1 year experience in Medical Office or Occupational Health practice. <title><![CDATA[Nurse Practitioner - (Voorhees, New Jersey)]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[Will independently assess, diagnose, prescribe medications and treat patients according to the established protocols in collaboration with physicians.  The NP will function within the scope of practice as defined by the state nurses practice act, delineation of privileges set forth by the practice setting and the American Nurses' Association Code of Ethics. Provide triage referral coordination, develops differential diagnosis, and individualized care plans along with patient education for specific disease types as appropriate.<br/><br/><br/>Position Responsibilities:<br/>Provides the range of treatment or service needed by the patient based on the patient's age specific and acute/chronic or health maintenance needs. This range of treatment  includes, but is not limited to History and Physicals exams, consultations and referrals, Ordering and interpreting laboratory and diagnostic tests.  Pharmacologic interventions, where clinically indicated, will be in accordance with the established joint protocols and APN prescribing guidelines.<br/><br/>Performs therapeutic treatments, including but not limited to: wound care, suturing, performing and assisting with minor office procedures, and drain removal.<br/><br/>Administrative responsibilities which may include scheduling surgical cases, providing triage, orientation of clinical staff, precepting of students, and call rotation as required based on the practice. Ensures practice compliance in accordance with regulatory guidelines. Displays motivation and initiative in meeting the goals of the practice.<br/><br/>Appropriately documents subjective and objective findings including assessment and plan in the patient&iquest;s medical record. Ensures accurate coding and billing.<br/><br/>Collaborates with interdisciplinary care team to provide each patient and their family the highest quality healthcare. Including assessment of patient/family knowledge and initiation of patient/family education. For uncommon or unstable conditions, the NP will participate in the diagnosis with consultation and either refer to a specialist or participate in the dual management and treatment with the collaborating physician.  Must have excellent clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills.<br/><br/>Required Education:<br/>Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, Masters Degree in Nursing.<br/><br/>Training/Certifications/Licensure:<br/>Stay current with Medical trends and provide evidence-based practice medicine by completing the required continuing education credits as mandated by state requirement.<br/>Certification as an Advanced Practice Nurse is required. <br/>Current NJ RN license and appropriate Advance Practice licensure for specialty.   <br/>BLS certification.
