The Major Gift Officer will report to the VP of The Virtua Foundation. The focus of this position will be bringing in major gifts to support Virtua¿s active and comprehensive capital campaigns. We need assertive people who can come in and hit the ground running. This isn¿t a position for the unmotivated or one who lacks drive and desire. We need someone who can quickly build relationships, someone who is goal oriented, and someone who can quickly start closing deals. We need the cream of the crop!

Our Major Gift Officer will not be sidetracked with setting up events and working behind the scenes. You will be out meeting current donors, networking with our doctors, adding new prospects and bringing in gifts. Quite simply, you will be out on the front lines doing what you do best!!

Qualifications

- Experience managing an active portfolio of 125-150+ gift prospects

- Proven track record in closing six and seven figure major gifts

- Successful experience in making cold calls as well as developing cultivation and solicitation strategies

- Demonstrated ability to prospect, cultivate, and manage new accounts

- Ability to talk money and close a deal with grace

- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and thorough understanding of strategic development

- Knowledge and applied use of charitable giving instruments and options

- Experience with Raisers Edge
