We are currently in need of a Business Analyst/Systems Analyst to work on Clinical Applications with previous experience in the build and break/fix of Soarian Clinical Rules and Workflow Engine modules to help assist us in preparing for clinical transformation in support of upcoming changes in healthcare. We need someone who is a pro-active, solutions-oriented, critical thinker as this role is instrumental to the organization’s success.

The Analyst creates new and customizes existing forms and screens for Clinical Systems used throughout the Acute Hospital Setting. Works directly with customers to transform requirements into solutions.Active interaction with all teams within the I.S. department to provide forward thinking solutions to issues and requests. Will use knowledge of Clinical systems, Interfaces, reports and storage to ensure all solutions have defined downstream impact, and ensure test plans are built and executed accordingly. Provides support for maintenance, upgrades and implementations of multiple clinical applications.

***Soarian Clinicals, Soarian Rules/Workflow Engine (TIBCO/Staffware), Picis ED Pulsecheck experience are a plus***

Summary:
Provides support for maintenance, upgrades and implementation of multiple applications across many customer bases. Helps customers optimize use of the physical, digital and human resources available to their departments through process analysis/redesign and adaptation of information systems and interfaces to meet the customer¿s workflow requirements and the health system¿s information needs. Collaborates with other IS staff, management engineers, black belts and customers to analyze, design, build and test applications and interfaces, Is the key point of contact for Information Services with multiple customer departments.


Position Responsibilities:
Provides support for maintenance, upgrades and implementation of multiple applications across many customer bases including building pathways/screens/forms/reports; writing test plans and thoroughly tests and validates data/outcomes; documents and communicates system changes for procedures and application inventories; Performs initial analysis and assures appropriate follow-up.
Point of entry for requests, problems and support for applications; performs initial analysis and assures appropriate follow-up; works thru work orders and calls on a timely basis and escalates as necessary; evaluates and helps establish SLAs and support proposals for customers; acts as the IS Liaison to the customer .

Leads application research and analysis for design decisions; consults with the customer to assure that the application supports the workflow designed and adds value; assists the customer in selecting, designed and deploying the most appropriate technology; maintains working knowledge of current trends related to customers¿ application and workflow; evaluates impact of new system or system changes on associated processes and systems.

Actively participates in Six Sigma, Workout and LEAN events; facilitates workout and CAP session as a Coach
Performs initial contact and first level escalation calls with vendors for all application problems as needed; communicates notable application events to manager as appropriate.

Continually enhances personal knowledge of application business areas; seeks improvement opportunities to increase efficiency and patient safety; mentors new team members for projects and support.

Manages small to medium projects and upgrades following IT project methodology; participates in implementation, upgrade system enhancements.

Provides on-call support as required to provide 24/7 support by the team

Adheres to IS Business Practices and available for 24/7 support as needed.


Position Qualifications Required
Experience Required:
Minimum of 4 years experience in Information Services or related business area. Proficient with MS office applications, including Word, Excel, Visio, Project, and PowerPoint. Strong expertise in multiple healthcare applications. Excellent facilitation and communication skills required. Business or Clinical specialty experience, as a systems end user is a plus. Experience with Report Writing and SQL required. Experience with NextGen preferred

Required Education:
B.A./B.S. in Information Systems strongly preferred.

Must be detail oriented and show the ability to gather accurate requirements to build and implement test plans. Will use knowledge of Clinical Applications, Interfaces, Reports and Document Storage to ensure downstream effects are clearly outlined and tested.
